Delivering cost-effective medical and dental care directly to underserved
children in their own neighborhoods.

In February 2006, the University of South Florida (USF) Department of Pediatrics partnered with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay to bring a Ronald McDonald Care Mobile™ (RMCM) Program to the Tampa Bay area. The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile™ (RMCM) is a 40-foot mobile medical and dental office, specifically built and equipped to deliver health services to at-risk children in the communities where they live.

To date, there are 52 Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles (RMCMs) worldwide, including three in Florida. The Tampa Bay RMCM is unique in that it is one of the few that is part of the educational program for training residents, medical and nursing students. By providing care in underserved and vulnerable communities, the trainees are exposed to cultural diversity and sensitivity.
